Sight & Sound’s Top 50 Greatest Films

The new The Top 50 Greatest Films of All Time list is out from BFI and it’s not much of a surprise. Overall it’s a good list made up of seriously good movies. What surprised me is that I’ve seen 35 of these films, five of them since December 2011 when I started keeping track of the movies I watch: Tokyo Story (#3), Le mépris (#21), Pierrot le Fou (#42), The Battle of Algiers (#48), and La jetée (#50).
